Park & Ride

Free parking for commuters with the Südtirol Pass

Railway station car parks are primarily designed for commuters, so they offer favourable conditions for leaving your car and continuing your journey by public transport.

Good to know

Do you have a Südtirol Pass and want to park in one of the paid car parks at Brixen/Bressanone, Bruneck/Brunico and Marling/Marlengo railway stations?

  • If you park your car at the station and continue your journey by regional train or bus, you can take advantage of special parking rates.
  • And if you take a regional train or bus to and from the same station on the same day, you can park for free.

The parking fee is charged directly to your Südtirol Pass, which is also used to open the barrier: simply hold the card close to the contactless sensor on the pillar.

Parking at night. The service also works for daily commuters who park their car only during the night. In this case, in order to benefit from the free parking, both validations (for the outward and return journey by train or bus) must be made within 24 hours of first entering the car park.

Who is eligible?

If you’d like to use your Südtirol Pass or Euregio Family Pass to pay for parking at Bressanone/Brixen, Brunico/Bruneck or Marlengo/Marling train station, the Park & Ride package in your online user account must be activated. The only prerequisite is that you have a post-paid contract using SEPA Direct Debit. Südtirol Pass holders with a pre-paid contract can change their payment preferences any time in their user account with just a few clicks.

Südtirol Pass abo+ and Südtirol Pass 65+ holders, too, can add the Park & Ride option – provided that they have a post-paid contract and activated the option to pay for additional services.

Passengers travelling on a Südtirol Pass free can apply for a parking permit at their local police station.

How to park your car
  1. When entering: At the entrance barrier, hold your Südtirol Pass in front of the reader to open the barrier.
  2. When leaving the car park: At the exit barrier, hold your Südtirol Pass in front of the reader to open the barrier.

Please remember: Do NOT take a car-park ticket!

Südtirol Pass: How parking fees are charged

The maximum daily parking fee for Südtirol Pass holders is 6 EUR, both at the Brixen/Bressanone and Bruneck/Brunico railway stations.

If you validate your season ticket for a trip on public transport, train or bus on the same day, the daily parking fee is 3 EUR.

And if you validate a return trip on a regional train or bus for the same day at the same station, the parking fee is 0 EUR.

Holders of the Südtirol Pass can also continue to use the parking services in Brixen/Bressanone and Bruneck/Brunico by validating their pass at the stations listed below:

Bus stops for validation

Brixen/Bressanone

  • Feldthurner Straße/Via Velturno
